well let me talk about his lecture held a week ago.
the students filled the hall and a half of the students were sitting on the step.
fortunately one of my friends was keeping seats for yuki and me so we were able to sit on the chair ;)
About content of his lecture.
as miki or takuya wrote , he was talking about many kind of politics things.
i really concentrated on it not to miss the stories he talked.
but u know it was sort of difficult. i just could understand 50% or less than that.
as everybody who went to his lecture knows one of exchang students names Sam asked him about homesexual thing.
Sam and i were friend so i already knew that he s guy.
after the lecture i went to smoking area with Sam and other exchang students .
Sam was still really upset about Huckbee's answer.
when we were talking about that a woman came to Sam and she started talking her opinion of that to sam.
i was listening a whole conversation of sam and that woman .
um she was really upset to Huckbee too . she mentioned like sam was really brave and Huckbee sucked .sth like that.
i think that woman is probably KUIS teacher.
i thought like Huckbee was really trying to make things good. i didnt feel well to him.
what did u think kamsun???
anyway it was nice experience that we could hear the lecture of a candidate for a vice president.
To Mr Huckbee.
i can guess why u were defeated in an election....
i was little disappointed at u.......

I think that maybe Sam already knew before he asked the question what Huckabee's answer would be. Huckabee only really talked about gay marriage and not homosexuality itself. I don't know I guess I could understand both points of view. But I kind of felt like Huckabee is a politician and he knows how to answer questions in a calm manner. It seemed like Sam wanted an argument or confrontation, but he can never change somebody's mind especially by trying to argue or use provocative words like "queer".
Anyway, I didn't like what Huckabee said about the environment or some other issues but he had good things to say about education.
