Ｌｅｔ ｍｅ ｔａｌｋ ａｂｏｕｔ ｍｙ Ｅｎｇｌｉｓｈ ｅｘｐｅｒｉｅｎｃｅｓ！
Well…..Ｍｙ mom really wanted me to learn English．Ｓo there were lots of materials to study English on the wall in my house. Also I went to ECC just for a half year.
But I really hated English , sucked at English and didn’t want to learn any English .
I loved Japanese and math when I was in elementary school.

In junior high school , we just studied about grammar and kind of easy vocabulary .
So I didn’t have any good speaking skill even grammar and vocabulary .
I went to the English course of high school even though I was not good at English. I don’t know why…. I just felt like it.
There are lots of good speaker , students who have 2nd grade of Eiken. (actually I just had 4th grade of Eiken…) and many returnee students. I felt like I want to drop out of school right now. The teachers spoke just English (sometimes japanese) so I couldn’t understand anything what they were saying. Of course My first exam was terrible …..
And we’ve got to take 4 different kind of English tests per a week for 3 years. It was so hard and made me even cry. Ｂut I’ve always hated to lose so I’ve decided I’m going to be a hard worker!!!

I started working at the Mcdonald’s in the airport since the end of 1st grade of high school . I got chances to talk with westerners. I couldn’t get and catch up what they were saying . Ｓo when I found some words and some phrases I couldn't understand , asked the ALTs and friends. And then my English was getting better and better .
Now I'm working at Bar in Narita-san. All staff and all costomer are not Ｊapanese but they're American, British , French , Filipina, Belgian and so on. So I've got to speak English. No one can understand any Ｊapanese. Fortunately my accent is sort of American accent .I guess that thanks to mom. So it is easy for wasternars to listen my english i think. But sometimes I'm really frastrated at my poor English .Especially listening skill. so poor.
It's so much fun to work ar there though. I just have to memorize any alcoholic drink's name....
As you can see , I've never been to English speaking country. But I really want to go to the US and live there near the future.
Now in this college , there are lots of students who have been to the other countiries! So I really envy them!!!!!!
These days I'm so depressed at my poor English and I've lost my confidence of English.
But the time and practice will make it easy I think.
Anyway I'll do my best and want to improve my English here.
That is my English experiences. I made it short .

That's a really great story Naoko! I wondered how could you have American accent if you've never been overseas! It seems like you're pretty determined so I'm sure any "kinks" in your English will get ironed out!
